Quilter Investors sets out evolution of multi-asset portfolio management team
Quilter Investors today announces changes to the portfolio management team, with CEO Paul Simpson taking direct oversight of the investment desk and the pending appointment of a new senior level portfolio manager.
Since launch in 2018 as a new multi-asset investment business within Quilter, the organisation has developed and expanded rapidly, including through the appointment of a new ExCo and senior leadership team, and a complete rebrand of the business.
As one of the fastest growing multi-asset businesses in the UK, Quilter Investors now manages more than £19 billion in customer assets*. The established portfolio management team has a strong record in delivering for customers over the long-term, with more than 75% of AUM ahead of the relevant IA sector over 5 and 10 years.
Further strengthening the portfolio management team, CEO Paul Simpson will now take a more active role in leading the investment desk. The portfolio management team will report directly to Paul, which reflects the team based approach of the investment desk.
Anthony Gillham has made a decision to leave the company having played an important role in supporting the evolution of the business as head of investments.
Generation continues to be co-managed by Paul Craig with the support of the wider portfolio management team. And a new senior level portfolio manager will also be named on Generation, with an announcement to follow in due course. They will be the second senior hire this year, following the appointment of Helen Bradshaw to spearhead the launch of the forthcoming Quilter Investors multi-asset income range.
Portfolio managers Sacha Chorley and Stuart Clark will manage Creation, while Rasmus Soegaard will manage the Foundation and Managed Fund portfolios. Sacha Chorley will continue to manage the Compass Portfolios.
Quilter Investors CEO, Paul Simpson says:
“This business has made remarkable progress over the course of the last year and I’m delighted to set out these key steps today in the next phase of our development.
“We have an exceptionally talented investment management team in place. Our investment function is one of the largest and most experienced in the UK multi-asset investment market and our team based approach is a key part of our investment management philosophy. I’m really pleased to be taking direct oversight of such a talented group of portfolio managers and bringing my own experience and expertise to the desk.
“The progress we have made already will continue and we are looking forward to the launch of our forthcoming income range, as well as a number of exciting new developments we have in the pipeline including the pending appointment of a new senior level portfolio manager to further strengthen the team.”
“Anthony has played an important role in the development of Quilter Investors. He leaves with our best wishes and I would like to thank him for the contribution he has made to the business.”
Anthony Gillham adds:
“I have thoroughly enjoyed the past two decades that I have spent with the company. Whilst I leave at an exciting time for the business as it continues on its new journey as Quilter, I am confident that the excellent team will continue to go from strength to strength.”
