Paul Simpson, Chief Executive

Paul is CEO of Quilter Investors and holds oversight of the portfolio management team. He joined the business in 2006 as co-manager of the European Statistical Arbitrage fund and Global Statistical Arbitrage fund, before being appointed head of alternatives in 2009. Prior to joining the business he was portfolio manager on a successful merger arbitrage fund at De Putron Fund Management Ltd, later concentrating on statistical arbitrage, and spent two years as a portfolio manager at Millennium Partners.

Paul has a BA in Economics from Cambridge University and an MBA from the University of Bradford Management Centre.

Helen Bradshaw - Portfolio Manager

Helen is manager of the multi-asset Monthly Income range and is a portfolio manager at Quilter Investors. She has over 15 years of investment industry experience and joined Quilter Investors in January 2019 from Janus Henderson Investors, where she ran a number of multi-asset income strategies. Helen holds an LLB law degree from Exeter University, the Legal Practice Course from the University of Law, Guildford as well as the Investment Management Certificate.

Stuart Clark - Portfolio Manager

Stuart is a portfolio manager at Quilter Investors. He has responsibility for the WealthSelect Managed Portfolio Service, overseeing manager selection and asset allocation, and is co-manager of Creation. He joined the company in 2013 having worked in fund research and analysis for over 12 years at organisations including UBS Wealth Management and Julius Baer.

Stuart is a Chartered Financial Analyst and has a degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Kent. 

Paul Craig - Portfolio Manager

Paul is manager of the Cirilium multi-asset portfolios and co-manager of Generation. He joined the business in December 2014 from Henderson Global Investors, following the acquisition of Cirilium. Paul has managed the Cirilium portfolios since 2009, taking on these responsibilities shortly after the inception of the range. He has also acted as a non-executive director of two investment trusts. He brings with him 25 years of experience in the asset management industry.

Sacha Chorley - Portfolio Manager

Sacha is a portfolio manager in the investment team at Quilter Investors and joined the business in 2011. He is manager of Compass and co-manager of Creation. Sacha has played an important role in the development of the asset-allocation process and investment tools used across the multi-asset fund ranges. Before joining the business, he worked at Broadstone with their team of economists during the financial crisis, before becoming moving into asset allocation and fund manager research.

He is a CFA Charterholder, has a Maths degree from the University of Bath and has completed the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) qualification.

CJ Cowan - Assistant Portfolio Manager

CJ is an assistant portfolio manager in the investment team at Quilter Investors. He joined Quilter in 2018 from Aberdeen Standard Investments where he worked on the Global Macro team, managing global government bond and global aggregate portfolios after completing the graduate programme.

CJ has a BSc in Economics from the University of Bristol and a MPhil in Economic and Social History from Brasenose College, Oxford. He is a CFA charterholder and has completed the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst qualification.

Hinesh Patel - Portfolio Manager

Hinesh Patel is a portfolio manager at Quilter Investors. He joined the business in 2008 working in fixed income & macro as strategist, assistant portfolio manager and then portfolio manager before joining the multi-asset desk in 2016. Hinesh has played a central role in developing the team’s direct and derivatives investment capabilities and macroeconomics analysis. Before joining the business Hinesh was an analyst at the global investment bank Lehman Brothers.

Hinesh holds a MEng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from Brunel University, including specialisms in automotive design and aeronautics. He holds the Investment Management Certificate, is a CFA Chartholder and has completed CQF level 1.

Rasmus Soegaard - Portfolio Manager

Rasmus is a portfolio manager in the investment team at Quilter Investors and works closely with Paul Craig, manager of the Cirilium portfolios. He joined the business in 2008 having previously spent the majority of his career specialising in alternative asset classes and portfolio management, most recently as a hedge fund analyst for ABN AMRO.

Rasmus is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst and holds an MSc in international securities, investment and banking from the ICMA Centre, University of Reading.

Graham Mitchell - Head of Quantitative Analysis

Graham leads the quantitative analysis function within Quilter Investors. His team of analysts supports the portfolio management team and represent an important component of Quilter Investors’ multi-asset capabilities. The team builds quantitative solutions to assist in fund screening, direct investments, portfolio construction and portfolio monitoring.

Graham is a CFA Charterholder and has completed the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) qualification. Graham joined the business in 2004 and has since held a number of positions in quantitative analysis. 

Tim Li - Credit Analyst

Tim is a credit manager and analyst focusing on direct corporate credit research and investment. He joined the business in September 2017 with over 10 years industry experience, during which time he has covered a broad spectrum of credits from Investment Grade to High Yield. Prior to joining the business, Tim was a director at Fitch Ratings, focusing on European high yield and leveraged loans research.  

He is graduate of Imperial College London, holding an MEng degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
