Paul Simpson

Chief Executive Officer

Paul is CEO of Quilter Investors and maintains oversight of the portfolio management team. After working in investment banking as an investment risk professional and then proprietary trader, he switched to asset management working in leading hedge funds before joining the Group via Old Mutual Asset Managers (OMAM) in 2006. As OMAM grew into Old Mutual Global Investors (OMGI) he became Head of Alternatives and then Director of Investments. When Old Mutual PLC rebranded to Quilter and sold the OMGI business Paul moved across to take the CEO role in Quilter Investors, the asset management business of Quilter Group. Paul also sits on the Quilter Investors Board, the Quilter PLC executive Committee and the Board of the Quilter Investors ICAV in Ireland.

Paul has a BA in Economics from Cambridge University and an MBA from the University of Bradford Management Centre.

Dean Bowden

Managing Director

Dean is managing director Quilter Investors having been appointed to the newly-created role in November 2019. He joined Skandia Investment Group in 2007 and held several senior management positions as the business transformed to become Old Mutual Global Investors (OMGI).  In 2015 he was appointed OMGI’s proposition and commercial director, before becoming chief commercial officer at Quilter Investors upon its formation in 2018. Dean is a fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI) and before joining the business spent nearly 10 years with Thesis Asset Management, where he was head of the Fund of Funds Managed service and fund selection team.

Martin Gloyne

Chief Operating Officer

Martin was appointed COO at Quilter Investors in January 2020. He brings to the business his extensive operations experience having spent a number of years consulting for a wide range of asset management firms operating across all asset classes and geographies.

During his career, Martin has been responsible for the creation of a centralised dealing function for a multi-asset investment manager; initiated a review of the operational support for a fund range for a global financial services company; and integrated a fund of funds business within the investment consultancy arm of a leading professional services company, amongst other assignments. He has also held senior roles within companies such as Aviva Investors, including the role of Investment Operations Director. In addition, Martin is a qualified chartered accountant.

Fiona Woodhouse

Chief Risk Officer

Fiona became CRO for Old Mutual Wealth’s multi-asset business in November 2017, which became Quilter Investors in June 2018. Fiona joined the business from Henderson Global Investors where she held several positions including deputy chief risk officer and head of operational risk.

She holds a degree in Biological Sciences from Edinburgh University and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland.

Louise Williams

Finance Director

Louise was appointed Finance Director for Quilter Investors effective 1 Jan 2020. She has a wealth of experience in the asset management industry at all levels and brought that to Quilter Investors in 2018 when she joined as Financial Controller, following previous roles in Finance and Risk at BNY Mellon and Newton Investment Management. Louise is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and holds a BA (Hons) in International Business & French.

Nicola Parker

Head of Human Resources

Nicola is responsible for recruitment and HR activity at Quilter Investors. She joined the business in August 2018 from Russell Investments where she was Head of Human Resources for EMEA and supported the firm’s integration with TA Associates. In more than 20 years working with global financial services firms such as ABN AMRO and Standard Bank, Nicola has gained a wealth of experience, with a particular focus on change management; M&A and organisational design.

Deborah Nash

Head of Legal

Deborah joined the business in February 2015 and in 2016 became interim head of legal for Old Mutual Global Investors (OMGI) before joining Quilter Investors as head of legal when the new business was established. Prior to joining Old Mutual she held senior legal roles at Zurich Life, Capita Financial Managers and AXA.  In a career spanning more than 25 years, she has gained extensive experience in the financial services sector. Deborah was admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales in 2006.
